Old Hickory Bat Company has added a second VK4M. This gives them the capacity of about 2300 bat billets per week. And that's with a long equalization period of 2 or 3 days.

Old Hickory prefers to dry dowels. Before purchasing their first kiln, they had shipped sample loads to us and our competitors. They said our results were great while the other manufacturers did an unacceptable job at drying.

These guys aren't all work and no play: when time allows, they drop the nets for a little batting practice.

This photo shows the piping that is done at our fabrication shop, mounted securely to the side of the chamber.

We use cooling towers to recycle cooling water. Naturally, it had to rain steadily on this day during installation of the second kiln.
